Overview
We were commissioned by an exhibition client to design and fabricate a series of bespoke lighting support frames, forming the centrepiece of a main stage at a prestigious conference. The finished installation delivered a clean, modern visual impact while providing reliable structural support for integrated LED lighting.
The Brief
The project required four 5-metre square frames to support LED light tubes, creating a bold geometric feature above the stage.
Key requirements included:

Our Approach
To achieve both strength and practicality, each frame was designed as a modular system. The structures were divided into manageable sections, allowing for efficient transport and straightforward on-site assembly.
Midway bolt-together joints were incorporated along each side, ensuring accurate alignment and secure connections while reducing installation time.
Material selection was critical. We used 50mm x 50mm thin-walled box section, offering an ideal balance between rigidity and weight. This ensured the frames remained stable once installed, without becoming cumbersome to handle.
Fabrication
Each frame was precision fabricated to maintain tight tolerances and consistent geometry across all four units. The modular sections were manufactured with integrated connection points, allowing for repeatable and reliable assembly on site.
Attention was given to both structural performance and visual finish, ensuring the final installation met the standards expected for a high-end conference environment.
The Result
The completed lighting rigs provided a striking focal point for the stage, combining clean lines with dependable structural performance.
The modular design allowed for smooth installation and dismantling, supporting the fast-paced demands of exhibition environments while maintaining a high-quality finish throughout.
